'Kenilworth Romantic History and Nature Trail' returns this weekend

Discover the "green heart of our natural heritage" with a summer walk around Kenilworth this weekend.
The 'Kenilworth Romantic History and Nature Trail' returns on Saturday 2 August taking walkers on a three mile route around the town.
Starting and finishing at the castle, the event starts at 1.45pm and will be done by 4.30pm at the latest.
"Discover the Green Heart of our natural heritage on a circular summer walk through the remnants of the Forest of Arden, highlighting the romantic story of Elizabeth 1 and Lord Robert Dudley, the history of the natural landscape, plus a mystery Shakespeare connection," organisers said.
"The walk is about three miles long and takes roughly 2.5 hours.
"It's mainly easy paths which can sometimes be muddy, especially at the Pleasance, and there are kissing gates plus a stile or two on the way. Lace your walking boots and head out to discover the layers of history."
