Kenilworth's Cherry Orchard Household Waste Recycling Centre is temporarily closed today (April 8) for "essential maintenance'.

The site was due to close last month for the works, but the closure was pushed back.

There will be no access to the recycling centre or reuse shop today for the works on the site office.

Cherry Orchard is expected be open again on Wednesday 9 April.

Warwickshire County Council "extends its apologies to anyone planning to book an appointment to visit the site that day" and says bookings have been suspended.

Residents are advised to consider the alternative recycling centre at Princes Drive in Leamington Spa.
