Kenilworth planning roundup: Castle Farm, Woodside and holiday pods
Here are the biggest local planning stories from the past week.
Castle Farm
Castle Farm Leisure Centre has officially opened its doors following 20 months of construction.
The new leisure centre opened its doors on Thursday (December 21).
Following the handover of the building from construction contractors Kier, the new leisure centre will be managed and operated by Everyone Active on behalf of the council.

Holiday Pods
Two holiday 'pods' may have to be removed from a field in Burton Green after councillors agreed they were inappropriate use of the green belt.
A retrospective planning application for the two iglus on a parcel of land off Hob Lane was discussed by Warwick District Council's (WDC) planning committee last week, with members siding with officers that the scheme should be thrown out.
A council report ahead of the meeting said the timber-clad glamping units were "harmful by reason of inappropriateness and harm to openness," and should not be given the go-ahead.
-------------
Woodside Hotel
Local councillors have blocked plans to demolish the Woodside Hotel to make way for 55 homes, despite planning officers saying the scheme should go ahead.
Warwick District Council's (WDC) planning committee last week refused to grant planning permission for the controversial development, criticising the sustainability of the proposed homes.
Council planners had recommended Vistry Partnerships West Midlands be given the green light for the scheme, which would have seen the Victorian mansion house flattened to make way for 43 houses and a block of 12 apartments.
