New Homes Plan

Plans for 416 homes in Burton Green have been put forward to council planners,

Police Spaces

Warwickshire Police has been granted planning permission for 260 extra parking spaces and a series of works at its headquarters – but only after a bashing from councillors.

Warwick District Council's planning committee unanimously supported the force's revamp which will add the extra parking and see extra lighting, security and connecting paths installed.

It will also see a new one-way system introduced with the northern access route becoming exit only, a bone of contention for objectors but an element that did not require planning permission.

Bridge to Nowhere

A full plan to redesign and finish the 'bridge to nowhere' over the A46 will not be ready until at least September, the new leader of Warwickshire County Council has revealed.

Now three years behind schedule, the bridge at the Stoneleigh junction remains unconnected, with delays and rising costs hitting the project.

The council last released a public update on the scheme in November last year, with Kenilworth councillors Richard Dickson and Mark Stevens last week requesting updates on the project at the full council meeting.
