Kenilworth planning roundup: 99 homes, £2m deficit and cycling funding
Here are the biggest Kenilworth planning stories from the past week.
Houses on the Market
The first homes on a new 99-house estate being built in Kenilworth have been put up for sale.
Miller Homes West Midlands has put plots 67 to 98 of its Southcrest Rise development on the market.
The most expensive currently available is a five-bed detached house being marketed at £940,000.
The Miller Homes website says the first houses could be completed as early as May 2023.

Council's £2m Deficit
There may be less money for major infrastructure projects across Kenilworth than expected after councillors revealed that the town council was likely to receive £2 million less funding than it had expected.
Last year Kenilworth Town Council launched a survey to see where residents thought its Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) funding should be spent to help support the community.
CIL is cash the council raises from developers building in the town, with the money set to be spent over the next five to ten years.
When the survey was launched the council predicted there would be around £3 million available for projects across Kenilworth.

Cycling Funding Boost
More than £400,000 has been secured by the county council to help pay for walking and cycling schemes across Warwickshire.
Active Travel England announced the funding, from its active travel capability fund, for Warwickshire County Council on Monday (January 2).
At £428,214 the sum is more than double that given to the local authority last year.
The funding will pay for early design work and consultation on walking and cycling routes.
