The biggest news for Kenilworth this week came on Tuesday night when Warwick District Council's Planning Board gave unanimous approval for the relocation of Kenilworth Rugby Club from Glasshouse Lane to the land east of Warwick Road.
Kenilworth Town Council has expressed concern over the district council's proposed closure of Abbey Fields Leisure Centre and Castle Farm Recreation Centre.
Sad news from Warwick Crown Court this week. A 19 year-old was sentenced to nine years in prison for stabbing two teenagers at a house party near Kenilworth. Later that day he bragged about what he had done on Instagram.
Plans to turn the bus service across Warwickshire to electric power gathered momentum this week as the county was shortlisted for a £125million scheme by the Department of Transport.
