Here are all the headlines and news stories from this week in Kenilworth.

The biggest news for Kenilworth this week came on Tuesday night when Warwick District Council's Planning Board gave unanimous approval for the relocation of Kenilworth Rugby Club from Glasshouse Lane to the land east of Warwick Road.

Kenilworth Town Council has expressed concern over the district council's proposed closure of Abbey Fields Leisure Centre and Castle Farm Recreation Centre.

Sad news from Warwick Crown Court this week. A 19 year-old was sentenced to nine years in prison for stabbing two teenagers at a house party near Kenilworth. Later that day he bragged about what he had done on Instagram.

Plans to turn the bus service across Warwickshire to electric power gathered momentum this week as the county was shortlisted for a £125million scheme by the Department of Transport.

Kenilworth Town Council has announced free webinar for information on the Green Homes Grant Scheme. The webinar will take place this coming Tuesday, February 16.

A petition has been circulating on social media urging the Police and Crime Commissioner for Warwickshire to reconsider controversial plans to cut cuts to the domestic abuse team in the county.
