Kenilworth named among the 50 most desirable places to live in the UK
Kenilworth has been named among the 50 most desirable places to live in the UK by The Telegraph.
The Warwickshire town is the only place in the county to make the list, which estate agent Savills was commissioned to create by the national newspaper.
Savills used a range of factors from recent census data including the proportion of residents holding managerial jobs, qualification levels, health services and house prices.
The list is topped by Harpenden in Hertfordshire, with Kenilworth coming in at 28th - one step higher than the previous ranking based on 2011 census data.
In the Telegraph's article, Lucian Cook, head of residential research for Savills, said: "It's worth noting that these locations are not second-home hotspots.
"They are aspirational, affluent places that attract incoming wealth with good schools and a strong quality of housing stock where residents are economically active who are building up their property and personal wealth."
Kenilworth is no stranger to such accolades, having been named one of the best up-and-coming areas to invest in the UK for 2022 by The Times.
Last year the town was also named as one of the top 40 places to live in the UK by property finder company Garrington.
