Kenilworth man arrested for drink driving after knocking down telegraph pole

A 47-year-old man from Kenilworth was arrested on suspicion of drink driving last night (August 14) after a knocking down a telegraph pole.

Police were called to the scene on Farmer Ward Road at 8.49pm where the car had collided with the pole.

The man was later released under investigation while enquiries continue.

The man was not injured in the incident.

Police are now appealing for witnesses. 

"Any witnesses or anyone with dash cam footage can go to Tell us something you've seen or heard | Warwickshire Police or call 101 quoting the incident number," a force statement said.

"Alternatively, information can be provided anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
