Council planners have given the go-ahead for a Kenilworth industrial unit to be extended.

James Mann Construction has been granted planning permission for a two-storey front and side extension to the building at Princes Drive.

The scheme will see the unit turned from one into three smaller units.

Signing off on the application, a council report said: "The proposed extension would infill the northeast corner of the building which currently features a stepped back gable and angled single-storey flat roof element which occupies the corner of the building.

"The proposed extension would be of a gabled design to match the existing triple-gable style of the building and would bring the eastern gable end in-line with the other two gable features.

"It is considered that the proposed design is sympathetic to the existing character and architectural features of the application property."
