Burton Green, Priors Field and St. Augustine's primary schools were all able to show the judges how they combined gardening with an understanding of nature and of the 'eco' environment in this year's Kenilworth in Bloom competition.

Priors Field also involved pupils in "lovely, detailed" artwork of plants and flowers

The children at Priors Field and St. Augustine's in particular impressed the judges with their gardening knowledge.

All the schools had struggled with the extreme weather conditions, but still had done remarkably well, the judges said.

The pupils and teachers have to be congratulated.

St Augustine's said: "It was an honour to show Kenilworth in Bloom around our grounds.

"We are so proud of our year 6 pupils who showcased their confidence, care of God's creation and knowledge so well."
