A Kenilworth healthcare agency has said it is "incredibly proud" of what it has achieved in the past 12 months as it prepares to celebrate its first anniversary.

Kare Plus Kenilworth opened its doors in October 2022 in the former Hays Travel Shop in Talisman Square.

Launched by Kavi Pryagh, the local franchise provides staff across the healthcare industry, in care homes and through its very popular home help service.

And as the branch has already broken a number of company records, Kavi said it had been an excellent first year in business.

"I am very proud," he told Nub News.

"We have a really good structure in the office already, which means we have great support for our candidates as well as our clients.

"That means we can provide a great service for our customers."

Senior operations executive Tracey Frisby added: "I think it is fantastic what we have done so far.

"As a franchise we are very aware that we have hit targets which is great.

"Our workforce solutions are perfect and our home help is growing nicely.

"Every week we see growth - it really is brilliant."

Having already seen a rapid start to business, the company doubled its clients between April and the end of August.

It has also created over 100 jobs in South Warwickshire, Coventry and Birmingham.

And as it prepares to launch its home care service pending Care Quality Commission approval, the business is set on further expansion.

"We hope to be bigger and have more team members and we want to grow," Tracey said on plans for the future.

"The vision is always going to be that we want to excel - we don't just want to sit comfortably.

"We know that it is a service that is needed. We know it is going to grow."

Kare Plus itself was originally launched in 1989 to supply scrub nurses to hospitals, and since 2010 has been providing staff across the healthcare industry.

And for Kavi, who worked in the retail sector for over a decade before launching the franchise, Kare Plus brings him back to his roots, having worked as a carer for Bupa for in London between 2005 and 2009.

"It has been really good to get back into working in healthcare," Kavi explained.

"Obviously I had to learn a lot about the industry and catch up on what has changed.

"We work in a very people-centric industry, which is great.

"I already had a background in management - but getting back into care has been excellent."

As well as breaking records for sales and recruitment, the firm has also been leading the way on social media - something which Kare Plus has tried to roll out to its other franchises.

But most of all, Kavi said it was hiring the right candidates and having the right philosophy which had enabled the business to grow so fast.

"What I learned when I was first at Bupa is that every person is different, their needs are different," he added.

"We want to make sure our candidates recognise that and are trained in that way.

"We only hire the best candidates who have compassion and kindness and care and that is what gives the service users a better life and care.

"And we are really eager to train, and upskill our staff, to make them the best they can be."
