The Kenilworth Fireworks Spectacular has once again been named in the top ten bonfire night events in England.

Compiled by Visit England, the rundown of this weekend's attractions places the event at Kenilworth Castle at number seven.

The list is topped by the Alexandra Palace Fireworks Festival in London which has been running for over 150 years.

Kenilworth's event, organised by Kenilworth Round Table, was featured in the list last year as well after returning for the first time in three years.

The Visit England website says: "Kenilworth Castle has a past dotted with royal connections, strategic fortifications and religious links.

"It's now a top attraction for history buffs, but every November, it also hosts one of the biggest Bonfire Night celebrations in the Midlands.

"The Kenilworth Fireworks Spectacular is a key date on the town's calendar and sees visitors surrounding the castle for an amazing aerial display of colour.

"Plus, all the money raised goes to good local causes - an added bonus!"

Tickets are still on sale for this Saturday's (November 4) event.

As well as the spectacular display, there will also be a host of food vans on site.

For 2023 there will be no shuttle bus to the castle.

Gates will open on November 4 at 5.30pm and tickets are now available on the Kenilworth Round Table website.

Last entry is at 6.45pm and the fireworks will start shortly after this.
