Kenilworth firefighters called to potential car arson

Local firefighters were called to a car fire in the early hours of this morning (March 4), thought to have been started deliberately.

At 2.19am crews were calls to the blaze on Drum Lane, Haseley Knob, where they found the vehicle "well alight".

"One firefighter wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel with misting equipment to extinguish the fire," a Kenilworth Fire Station statement said.

Warwickshire Police also attended the incident as the fire was "believed to be deliberate" as the vehicle appeared abandoned and a petrol can was found nearby.
