Artists in Kenilworth have been invited to submit proposals for four commissions up to £25,000 each to create new artworks inspired by the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games.
Artwork can be in any art form and will be included as part of Birmingham 2022 Cultural programme that will run alongside the sports at next year's Games.
Organisers want artists to take inspiration from Lawn Bowls and Para Lawn Bowls, Swimming and Para Swimming, Athletics and Para Athletics, Basketball 3x3 and Wheelchair Basketball 3x3.
Interested artists can visit the Birmingham 2022 website to find out more and submit their proposals ahead of the deadline of 14 September.
WDC portfolio holder for culture, tourism and leisure Cllr Liam Bartlett has encouraged as many local creatives to take the "once in a lifetime" opportunity and draw inspiration from the events happening locally.
"This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for a creative person or organisation from Warwick district to create a piece of art which will be seen by 1,000's of people every day during the time of the Games," he said.
"And where better to get inspiration for a piece of art depicting lawn bowls and para lawn bowls than the world-class Victoria Park Bowling greens in Royal Leamington Spa."
The news comes as Warwick District Council invited residents to share their connections to the Commonwealth, as the council looks to find local links to all 54 involved nations.
