A portacabin used for charitable work at a Kenilworth church is set to remain in place following a council decision.

Warwick District Council (WDC) has granted permission for the structure to remain in place at St John's Church.

Used for its work with 'Tools With A Mission', the Warwick Road church was previously granted permission to use the building in 2021.

St John's now has permission to keep it in use until 2031.

Approving the plans, a WDC report said: "It is considered that the proposal will not have any impact on neighbouring properties or uses.

"The nearest neighbouring buildings are the Church and its associated ancillary buildings and community facilities.

"There are no nearby residential properties that would be impacted by the development."

The portacabin is used to refurbish donated tools.
