Temporary closure for Kenilworth recycling centre 'no longer necessary' - Stratford's still to shut

The county council has U-turned on plans to temporarily close Kenilworth's recycling centre next week.
Warwickshire County Council yesterday (March 4) announced both Cherry Orchard in Kenilworth and Burton Farm in Stratford-upon-Avon would shut for refurbishment works.
The former was only due to close for three days to allow for a new site office and welfare facilities to be built.
But the local authority has today announced the Kenilworth site will not shut.
"Further to our last release, it is no longer necessary for us to close Cherry Orchard Household Waste Recycling Centre next week," the council said.
However, the "unavoidable" closure at Burton Farm will still begin on Monday 10 March.
It will be shut for up to two weeks to allow for "essential repairs" to the mains water supply.
Leaks will be fixed and the mains water supply reinstated and drainage improved to reduce the chance of unexpected future closures due to flooding.
The council said works have been planned for early March because the typical visitor numbers at each site tend to be lower and there are longer daylight hours at this time of year to help the work progress quickly.
