A Kenilworth aesthetic medicine clinic has unveiled a new treatment as it continues to expand its already-popular offering.

Cryosurgery/Cryotherapy is now available at Shine Medical Cosmetic Clinic, adding to the range of non-surgical cosmetic treatments on offer at the Warwick Road business.

Run by Dr Shyna Raj, the clinic aims to support clients achieve their cosmetic goals with a range of affordable treatments.

Dr Shyna also focuses on treatments which are minimally invasive, and with very little downtime.

And the latest offering, which has been available since the start of the month, adds onto that.

Cryosurgery/Cryotherapy uses extreme cold to remove skin tags, warts, moles and other skin lesions.

It works using a small device called a Cryopen which uses liquified nitrous oxide to deliver quick, effective treatments to benign skin lesions.

The nitrous oxide rapidly freezes and destroys targeted cells without causing unwanted damage to surrounding healthy tissue - and all within a matter of minutes.

"I am now introducing a new cryotherapy treatment which is something I have been looking to introduce for a long time," Dr Shyna told Nub News.

"You can use the cryopen to treat various conditions like skin tags, warts, benign moles and other lesions .

"It is effective, safe, precise and with no downtime.

"It only takes seconds, even with a bigger lesion. So within minutes you can be treated and able to carry on with your normal day."

Small lesions can be removed with as little as one treatment, but Shine Cosmetic Clinic will not be charging for repeat treatments if it takes more than one attempt.

As well as an introductory offer currently available, the clinic will also offer discounts to clients who have multiple lesions which need removing.

And for Dr Shyna - who spent over a year training at Harley Academy London to gain her level 7 postgraduate qualification in injectables and cosmetic dermatology - the new treatment is taking her back to her roots in medicine.

"I am a doctor by background and it gives me a sense of going back to a medical treatment," she explained.

"It is more medical treatment than some of the other cosmetic treatments we offer.

"I love treating people and helping them, so this is really nice to add to what we offer."

And for the clinic, which is now six months old, launching Cryotherapy is another step forward for the ever-growing business.

"Non-surgical cosmetic treatments are becoming more popular than ever these days," Dr Shyna added.

"Previously people would have undergone expensive surgery but now you can have a treatment which is more affordable, has excellent results and with very little down time.

"The clinic has a lot of footfall, and is in a prime location, which is leading to a lot of enquiries and people coming for treatments.

"And Cryotherapy really adds into what we already try to do, to help people.

"A lot of people say to me they have wanted to get rid of these lesions for a long time, but they didn't know how.

"And after a short treatment with us they are so happy to have gotten rid of it and feel more confident, which is what I really like."
