An interactive map, created by Nub News, shows where crimes have been reported around Kenilworth.

Using Police.uk data the map shows all the crimes reported to Warwickshire Police during August 2023 - the most recent data to be released.

Each spot on the map shows where a crime has been reported, the nature of the crime and the last recorded outcome.

A recent report presented to Kenilworth Town Council by the local safer neighbourhood team said crime around the town remains low.

"We have been engaging with members of the public and we are finding that the fear of crime is quite high in Kenilworth, when the figures do not support this," it said.

"Quite often we have people approach us and say 'what with everything going on' and 'crime is bad isn't it?'

"However I am thinking that this is inflamed by reports in national press and in social media, when the reality is that Kenilworth is a safe place to live and crime on a whole is low compared to other areas."

During August 2023 the following crimes were recorded to Kenilworth police:

  • Violence and sexual offences 23
  • Anti-social behaviour 10
  • Vehicle crime 5
  • Other theft 10
  • Public order 5
  • Burglary 8
  • Criminal damage and arson 3
  • Shoplifting 4

In August 76 crimes were reported in the town - the lowest figure since April.
