Public footpaths around Kenilworth are set to be closed or disrupted for even longer for HS2 works.

The high speed rail developer announced last year public rights of way (PRoW) W164 and W165x in Crackley will be disrupted until summer 2026.

Previously it was announced they would reopen in 2024.

The latest set of works was due to come to an end in July, but HS2 has now issued an update saying disruption will last into November.

Cclosures and diversions will be in place from 17 July until 30 November.

Both footpaths connect to the Kenilworth Greenway and head north towards Coventry.

An HS2 notice said: "As we progress construction of the HS2 railway in this area, we will need to close a section of PRoW W164 and PRoW W165x, temporary diversion will be installed.

"These closures and diversions will be in place from 17 July 2026 until 30 November 2026."
