Home found for greyhound after 1,000 day at Kenilworth Dogs Trust

Noah, the seven-year-old Greyhound, has found his happy ending after spending over 1,000 days (almost three years) with Dogs Trust Kenilworth.
Noah arrived at Dogs Trust in 2019 and, over several years, was rehomed and returned, with none of his adoptions quite working out.
"Noah was often overwhelmed by new people and busy environments and was looking for a calm, patient home to call his own," Dogs Trust said.
In 2022, Noah was transferred to Dogs Trust Kenilworth to see if he had better luck in a new area of the country.
Much like at his previous Dogs Trust residence, the team at Kenilworth quickly fell in love with him.
However, Noah's anxiety in the busy rehoming centre meant he was more reserved, with potential adopters often overlooking him.
When Tiegan and her family applied to adopt, they did so without specific breed, age, or size preferences.
The Dogs Trust team saw this as Noah's big chance, and they were matched with him and given the opportunity to learn about his story.
Through gradual introductions, training, and sleepovers, Tiegan and her family helped Noah to feel comfortable, and on 4 February 2025, Noah bounced off to his forever home.
Speaking about the rehoming experience, Tiegan said: "We're so happy we've been able to give Noah the forever home he deserves. He has settled in easily and loves to stretch out on the sofa.
"Dogs Trust helped us get to know the real Noah at his own pace, and thanks to this, we've been able to give Noah the comfy, quiet life he deserves."
Emma-Jane Thomas, Manager of Dogs Trust Kenilworth, said: "Noah's rehoming journey isn't one we are likely to forget. After over 1,000 days, we're so happy he is settled into his forever home.
"Dogs like Noah show just how important it is for our team to help dogs go at their own pace and show off their wonderful personalities."
