Gallery: Stunning photos show progress of new Kenilworth School construction

By James Smith 27th Jan 2022

Stunning aerial photographs, submitted by a Nub News reader, show the progress at the new Kenilworth School.

The works, which started in May 2021, will be completed in time for the new £44million school to open its doors in September 2023.

At its peak there will be a 200-strong workforce on site as Morgan Sindall looks to complete the three-story school on Glasshouse Lane.

The school, which will be as low carbon as possible according to contractors, has its steel frame in place - as the photographs show.

Last November Kenilworth Multi Academy Trust said the project had reached the end of phase one, and was on track to finish on time.

Morgan Sindall said in the coming months "we will be pouring the floor slabs and completing the underground drainage, the SFS (metal studs) will be going up to carry the outside boarding windows will start going in and the roof covering will be continuing."

The construction company is also fundraising for the 420 tree saplings it committed to planting.
