Kenilworth's local community gave a warm welcome to the brand-new B&M store which opened its doors this morning at 8am (7 March).

After taking possession of the previous Wilko store on Station Road, the B&M team have "worked tirelessly" to renovate the 10,240sqft unit.

The discount retailer said it has created a "fresh space filled with big brands and bargains" that customers can enjoy shopping in for essentials, treats and gifts.

The grand opening of the new store was presented and unveiled by theKenilworthCentre, which was nominated by B&M store colleagues for the hard work it does in the community.

The store manager from B&M said: "The Kenilworth Centre really stood out for us, so we wanted to give them the spotlight as a thank you.

"We hope that our donation can help them to continue the great work they do."

The discount retailer announced plans to repurpose the former Wilko store at the start of 2024.

Since then, B&M has been granted an alcohol licence by Warwick District Council, with the new store due to open on Thursday 7 March.

Customers can now enjoy shopping at their new Kenilworth B&M store which "provides the local community with all the best brands at low prices".

There is a selection of branded groceries available, including food, drink and pet food.

Locals can also discover unexpected bargains across other departments such as health and beauty products, homeware, electricals, DIY essentials, toys, games, gifts, and plenty more.

The company said the new store has created 25 local jobs.

B&M's store manager added: "We're feeling really positive about the creation of more jobs for local people, and we hope customers are going to be delighted with their new store."

Already with over 660 stores nationwide, B&M has recently started reopening former Wilko sites under its branding.

The chain announced in 2023 it would be taking over 51 Wilko stores as part of a £13 million investment deal.

The Kenilworth store will open from 8am to 7pm Monday to Saturday, and from 10am to 4pm on Sundays.
