Kenilworth locals turned out in force to mark a special edition of the Kenilworth Carnival.

The parade left Forrest Road at 3pm on Saturday (June 27), 100 years after the first carnival was held in the town.

Now the third longest-running carnival in the country, the community event was held over two days.

The parade kick-started Saturday's festivities, with live music, food and drink and stalls in Abbey Fields for the rest of the day.

Sunday saw more community fun in the town centre park.

As well as thanking sponsors and performers, organisers said: "As we look back on our incredible 100th Kenilworth Carnival, we want to take a moment to thank the amazing people and businesses who helped make this milestone celebration such a huge success.

"Events like this simply don't happen without the dedication, generosity and hard work of so many people behind the scenes."

They added: "Every single contribution, no matter how big or small, helped make our 100th Kenilworth Carnival a truly unforgettable celebration.

"From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for helping keep this wonderful community tradition alive.

"Here's to the next 100 years!"
