GALLERY: KENFEST sells out once again

Thousands of locals headed to Kenilworth Rugby Club over the weekend for the return of KENFEST.
Selling out for the third year in a row, the popular family-festival beer festival brought music, food and a range of brews to the community rugby club.
As well as a fantastic three days of fun, the event also raises huge amounts of money for charity, including The Myton Hospices and Warwickshire Hearts.

This year's fundraising efforts were further boosted with a new charity bike ride which took place on Friday (May 2), with a group of riders heading from Glasshouse Lane to the Purity brewery in Great Alne.
That in itself raised £2,000 - before the main event got started.
With doors opening at 6pm on Friday for the first night, the huge numbers of guests began to arrive, with Jai Purewal of KRFC telling Nub News it is "massive" to be able to sell out once again.

He was also quick to thank the local businesses which have sponsored the 45 ale casks, lager kegs and ciders - again helping raise more money.
The event is also boosted by the team of 145 volunteers who gave up their time to help organise and then run the event over the bank holiday weekend.
"I think as long as Kenilworth wants it, then we'll do it," Jai added.
"It's the strength of the Kenilworth community that make it possible."

Taking over the Glasshouse Lane ground, the event saw a huge marquee erected, the main stage and the various bars.
Rows of tables outside were filled with guests, who were also able to choose from a range of street good options from the various vendors set up in the food area.
And for the youngsters there were bouncy castles and even a 'Story Corner' run by Kenilworth Books.

The event also featured a huge number of local bands, which were chosen through the KENFEST Calling competition which was held in the months preceding the event.
Guests we spoke to at the event were in good spirits and said KENFEST is exactly the sort of event Kenilworth needs.
