Full timetable to resume at Kenilworth Railway Station from end of February says WMR
A full train service will return to Kenilworth Railway Station this February according to West Midlands Railway.
WMR, which previously promised a full timetable from the end of January, suspended all trains in December due to staff shortages caused by Covid-19.
However, the operator has now promised a full timetable for the Nuneaton to Leamington Spa line from February 27.
The first service of the day will still be a replacement bus.
Kenilworth has been without a full timetable since it reopened last April.
A WMR statement said: "As a result of the ongoing impact of Covid, services on the Leamington Spa - Nuneaton line have been running to rail replacement and amended timetables.
"With the situation beginning to improve, we are now in a position to reinstate some services on these routes.
"From Sunday 27 February, a full train service will be re-introduced on this line. Please note, for operational reasons, on Sunday 27 February the first morning services on this line will be served by rail replacement bus."
An updated timetable will be released soon.
