Full road closures announced for Kenilworth Carnival 2024

Kenilworth Carnival and its parade are set to return this weekend, and a number of road closures have been confirmed for the town centre.

Following negotiations with Warwick District Council (WDC), the carnival funfair is now moving to the other side of Abbey Fields and will be in place from Thursday (27 June) until Sunday.

The parade will set off as usual from Forrest Road at 3pm on Saturday (29 June) and make its way around Abbey Fields and through the town centre.

Local streets will be shut for much of Saturday afternoon.

WDC has confirmed Forrest Road will be closed from 9am to 6.30pm on Saturday.

All the roads below will have rolling road closures between 3.00pm and 5.30pm on the same day:

  • Castle Road
  • Castle Hill
  • High St
  • Bridge St
  • Rosemary Hill
  • Priory Road
  • Waverley Road
  • Warwick Road
  • St John Street
  • Roseland Avenue
  • St Nicholas Avenue
  • Randall Road
  • The Square
  • Smalley Place
  • Abbey End
