With the parade set to return for the Kenilworth Carnival this weekend, Warwick District Council (WDC) has announced a number of road closures.

Local streets will shut on Saturday (June 24) to allow a series of floats to pass through the town centre.

The procession with leave Forest Road at 3pm, taking its usual route around Abbey Fields, through town and back to the War Memorial.

Organisers are hoping as many former Carnival Queens will take part in the procession as possible, as the event celebrates its 90th anniversary.

WDC has confirmed that Forrest Road will be closed from 9am to 6.30pm on Saturday.

All the roads below will have rolling road closures between 3.00pm and 5.30pm:

  • Castle Road
  • Castle Hill
  • High St
  • Bridge St
  • Rosemary Hill
  • Priory Road
  • Waverley Road
  • Warwick Road
  • St John Street
  • Roseland Avenue
  • St Nicholas Avenue
