The Inaugural Kenilworth Naturewatch week will begin on Saturday, May 29 with a stall at the Open Day Market before a week of events for families and children alike.

The week of events has been organised by Kenilworth Town Council's climate roadmap group.

Events are being run by community groups and charities including Friends of Abbey Fields, Warwickshire Wildlife Trust, Bee-Friendly Kenilworth, Kenilworth Eco-Church Groups and Closer Look at Nature.

As well as individual events throughout the week (shown at the bottom of this page), there will also be two competitions for residents to enter.

The Mayoral Photography Competition will run between Saturday May 29, and Sunday June 6. Each entrant can submit up to six photographs via Facebook, Instagram or Twitter using the tags #knw21 or #kenilworthnaturewatch and by tagging @kenilworthweb too.

Entries can also be sent to [email protected]

There are three age categories: Under 11s, 11-17, and 18+. Winners will be announced soon after the deadline closes and entrants must indicate which category they are in.

Local creatives can also take advantage of the Mayoral Art Competition, running between the same dates as the photography competition.

Each person can submit up to three pictures and any medium can be used. The same three age brackets are also be used, and entries can be sent to the same locations.
