Kenilworth will once again have two separate Christmas light switch-on events this year with High Street and Warwick Road each having their own dedicated occasion.

This year, the High Street switch-on will be community-led, while the town centre event will be organised by Warwick District Council.

High Street

As with the last three years, the High Street switch-on will take place first, on Friday, November 28 2025 with stalls open from 5pm to 8pm.

The events starts at 5pm and throughout the evening there will be music, food and drink vendors and children's entertainment. 

The lights will be switched on at 6pm.

With new lights coming to High Street for 2025, the event is also intended to run further along the road.

Kenilworth Town Council said on its website: "The team are very excited and have lots of fantastic plans for creating a traditional and community themed event, supporting local and focussing on what makes Kenilworth and the High Street special 

"Expect more local food offerings, more community stalls (who doesn’t love a tombola!) and a more staged musical presence!

"Don’t expect huge changes this year as time constrains us all but we can’t wait for the event to evolve and become something truly unique.

"One exciting announcement we can share for this year… we are thrilled to welcome some extra special visitors accompanying Santa and his sleigh!! After all, has anyone thought about how Santa makes it all the way to Kenilworth without his trusted reindeer helpers!"

Warwick Road

Warwick Road's event will take place two days later on Sunday 30 November 2025.

The second instalment will get underway at 1pm with a Christmas market and fun fair.

At 4pm the entertainment starts with performances on the main stage.

The lights will be switched on at 6pm and the event finishes at 7pm.

Both events will be free to entre.
