By James Smith 23rd Mar 2026
Another arrest has been made after a man died in Kenilworth on Friday (20 March) night.
Three people had already been arrested on suspicion of murder after emergency services were called to a house in Chestnut Avenue just before midnight where a man in his 40s found in cardiac arrest died.
Warwickshire Police has today (March 23) confirmed a 72-year-old woman has now been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.
She was arrested on Sunday night.
A 24-year-old man, a 49-year-old woman and 16-year-old male were arrested on suspicion of murder.
All four suspects, who are white British, remain in custody.
Detective Chief Inspector Collette Okeefe said: "While I know this will cause shock in the local community, I'd like to reassure them there remains no risk to the wider public and we believe the incident was contained to the house.
"We've arrested four people in connection with the man's death, and we're continuing to question them as we try to work out exactly what happened.
"We'll have officers in the area – carrying out further enquiries and providing reassurance - over the coming days, so if you have any questions, please speak to them.
"Equally, if you've got any information that could help our ongoing investigation and you haven't already come forward, please tell us."
Police have remained on site at Chesnut Avenue through the weekend and into this week. The house remains cordoned off with police tape.
The deceased's next of kin has been informed.
