Firefighters were called to a fire near Kenilworth Castle yesterday (May 19) caused by a disposable barbeque.

Kenilworth Fire Station said the fire was in a bin and was caused by the still hot grill.

"We have just attended a bin fire near to Kenilworth Castle, caused by a disposable BBQ being placed in the bin," a statement said.

"If you're using a disposable barbecue ensure it has cooled fully before putting it in the bin.

"If it's too hot to touch, it's too hot for the bin!"
