Kenilworth residents can find out more about HS2's planned three-week closure of the A46, at a public information event.

The high speed rail developer is hosting a drop in at the Kenilworth Centre today (March 17) from 2pm to 7pm.

A specialist will be on site to answer questions about the closure this April and to provide more information.

Nub News revealed last week that the A46 will close from 8pm on Friday 11 April until 6am Thursday 1 May 2025 from the Stivichall Interchange (Coventry) to the Thickthorn Island (A452 for Leamington and Kenilworth).

The 19-day closure will allow HS2 to demolish the carriageway, slide a new bridge into place and rebuild the road on top of it.

The new bridge will allow the new rail line to pass under the A46.

Afterwards there will be lane closures on the north and southbound carriageways with a speed restriction of 50mph until Thursday 31 July.
