Driver arrested after throwing two bags of amphetamine out of car window

A driver who tried to throw two bags of amphetamine out of the car's window as police pulled them over has been arrested.

Officers from Warwickshire Police's Operational Police Unit stopped the Volkswagen driver on the A45 near Ryton-upon-Dunsmore.

The driver was arrested on suspicion of possession of controlled drugs, driving with excess alcohol and driving whilst disqualified and without insurance.

The driver was detained in custody for interview and the vehicle seized.
