The details of the Remembrance services in Kenilworth for 2022 have been announced by the Royal British Legion and Kenilworth Town Council.

Having returned last year following its cancellation in 2020, the annual parade will return again on Sunday, November 13.

The parade will begin at the Copper House Club in Park Road at 10.15am on Sunday morning. Scouts and guide will assemble in Talisman Square and join the rear of the parade as it passes Southbank Road.

Road closures will be in place for this.

Wreaths, which have been displayed in the empty 'hospice' shopfront in Abbey End, will then be placed around the War Memorial in Abbey Fields by 10.45am.

After the service the parade will form up again in Forrest Road ready to take the salute by the Mayor of Kenilworth between the War Memorial and Southbank Road.

The RBL and cadets will then continue to the Copper House Club.

As well as the service on Remembrance Sunday, there will also be a two-minute silence held by the memorial at 11am on Armistice Day (Friday, November 11).

The Garden of Remembrance at Abbey Fields will also be dedicated on Saturday November 5 at 11am.

Organisers said: "This is an outdoor event on grass in November and although we have been very fortunate with the weather in recent years please make sure that everyone taking part is suitably dressed for the time of year."
