Covid-19 infection rates in Kenilworth remain below national average

Covid-19 cases in and around Kenilworth continue to remain below the national average whilst over 100,000 local residents have received both doses of a vaccine.
Local infection rates have fallen significantly from the beginning of October, when Warwick district's rate was 458.2 cases per 100,000 people.
Infection rates in the area now sit at 319.5 compared to the UK average of 395.4 per 100,000.
Kenilworth sits even lower than the rest of the district.
Official government data shows the rolling seven-day case rate in the week before November 13 were:
- Kenilworth West: 307.7 per 100,000
- Kenilworth South: 237.7 per 100,000- Kenilworth East: 295.3 per 100,000
There are currently 18 Covid-19 patients in South Warwickshire NHS Trust hospitals, five of whom are on ventilators.
And in the week leading up to November 5, two more people in Warwick district died from Covid-19 bringing the total in the area up to 278 people.
In the district 105,152 people have received both doses of a Covid-19 vaccination (as of Wednesday, November 19).
