Copacabana or Custard? Ibiza Daze returns to Station Road

Could the controversial 'Custard Corner' actually be the new Copacabana?
Love it or hate, the new instalment at the mouth of Kenilworth's Station Road has peaked interest in the local and national press, been the butt of jokes on TV and become a hotly debated topic in local chat forums.
This seemingly mundane story of street furniture has definitely maintained traction.
However, might the narrative alter this Summer?
On June 7 there is an event on Station Road being planned that could change the narrative from 'custard corner' to 'Kenilworth's Copacabana'.
Last year saw two incredibly popular events hosted by bar and eatery, The Station House @ Poms that saw hundreds of revellers enjoying the sunshine to the sounds of the white isle and in a few weeks, Ibiza Daze 3 will do this all over again.

The Ibiza-inspired events have been surprisingly well received in this quiet town, and with the significant numbers it attracts to hear DJs from across the UK play dance music inspired by the Spanish island, there is bound to be a boost to the local economy and possibly a change to the name of Kenilworth's most controversial junction.
In a few weeks the town will witness the previously named 'custard corner' become 'Kenilworth's Copacabana' as beach holiday inspired Summer sounds fill the street and party goers from across the county gather together.
Matt Despilia who performed last year said: "DJing alongside percussionists from Samabadors of Groove last year was incredible; it gave the whole event a reach beach party vibe.
"Perhaps the newly installed 'beach' at the end of the road will give the 2025 Ibiza Daze party even more of a Summer feel!"
Only time will tell but one thing is for certain; 'custard corner' has bought provoked anger and division, while Ibiza Daze 3 organisers aim to promote happiness and unity on the shore of Kenilworth's Copacabana.
To find out for yourself and take a look at the glowing 'sands' of Kenilworth's Copacabana, visit Ibiza Daze 3 on June 7; entry is free and everyone is welcome but the promoter insists that flip flops are not mandatory!
