Construction on new Kenilworth roundabout not likely until 2026

Further delays are set to hit works on a new roundabout in Kenilworth.
The junction is due to be built at the entrance to the Stoneleigh View housing estate off Glasshouse Lane.
The new junction, which will also include the entrance to Stansfield Grove, was expected to be built in 2024, but has repeatedly been put back and now looks set to be started in 2026.
Warwickshire County Council (WCC) previously cited "legal issues" for the delays, but a new update to Kenilworth Nub News said "service diversions" are now pushing it back.
A new contractor also needs to be found.

A spokesperson for WCC said: "The priority junction has been delayed by needing additional service diversions.
"We are not permitted to commence the work on Stansfield roundabout until that work is complete.
"Also, the work will now need to be retendered due to contractual reasons.
"Therefore, work is unlikely to start before the New Year."
The four-arm roundabout is expected to take four months to build.
A report to Kenilworth Town Council had previously said works would begin in May 2025.
