The northern pathway at Castle Farm will be closed for over a fortnight, Warwick District Council has confirmed.

The local authority said the walkway would be closed off from Monday 23 January until Friday 10 February for storm drainage work at the new sports centre.

The entrance from Borrowell Lane will allow access to the fields and skate park only.

Diversions are in place via Brookside Avenue.

The new multi-million pound leisure centre will include a sports hall, 80 station gym and fitness studios as well as a new base for local scouts and guides.

Work on the site  was delayed by "negotiations and re-costing" which were blamed on "soaring building costs and supply chain issues" by the district council.

The project is currently running on track.
