An award-winning street food business is set to take over the kitchen of a Kenilworth restaurant for one night only today (February 17).

Meat Meets Bun will be running the pop-up event at Time for Tea on Castle Hill from 6pm this evening.

Chris Hardy launched the burger business in April 2021 shortly after quitting his job as an engineer at Rolls Royce.

Having worked in hospitality after leaving school, Chris then lost his appetite for working with food, but it was launching his own food blog that rekindled his desire to work with food again.

Since launching MMB has been an instant hit with locals and even saw Chris compete in the finals of the National Burger Awards in April last year.

And following the success of the takeover at Time for Tea last November, he will be bringing a limited menu back to the popular restaurant tonight.

Posting on Facebook MMB said: "Next pop-up - Time for Tea - This Friday 17 of February and we're buzzing for it!

"Last time we were there, it was a crackin' lil' night! The joys of cooking out of a kitchen and having that dining in experience!"

Unlike the last event, there will be no pre-orders this time round.

And to see the full menu, head to the MMB Facebook page.
