Another six weeks of traffic lights coming to busy Stoneleigh road

Motorists face yet more disruption in Stoneleigh due to HS2 works.

The high speed rail developer already has traffic lights in place on Stoneleigh Road, with a notice previously saying they would be removed on Sunday 11 October.

However, HS2 has now confirmed the traffic lights will remain until Thursday 26 November.

A further road closure - after the latest one in August - will be needed later in the year.

"We will be continuing the piling work at the entrance to Stoneleigh Park," HS2 said.

"We will need a road closure later in the year, to complete the work. We will share the dates and details shortly."
