Incredible drone footage released by YouTube account HS2 Sky View Warwickshire has shown how HS2 works are progressing around Kenilworth, Burton Green and Balsall Common.

The first of two videos released in the last month shows works for the new 'cut and cover' tunnel at Burton Green.

Overhead shots show the portal well underway, as well as the realigned Cromwell Lane and the extent of the cutting in the local landscape.

HS2 has recently submitted designs for a major new building in Burton Green which it says will be "crucial" in helping maintain the new railway line.

This will be built nearby.

Meanwhile the second clip is taken further west, along the Kenilworth Road in Balsall Common.

Here viewers can see the massive depot, new bridges being built and again the impact the works are having on the local landscape.

Works in the area will eventually see the HS2 route cross the West Coast Main Line.

Further videos showing the impact of HS2 across the region have been published on the YouTube account HS2 Sky View Warwickshire.
