Kenilworth's history turned into new outdoor mystery adventure

A new independent business is turning the historic streets of Kenilworth into an outdoor mystery adventure.
Amy, the creator of ChronoQuest Cases, has launched The Case of the Stolen Fireworks, a self-guided historical mystery adventure set in Kenilworth.
The adventure takes players back to 1575, when Queen Elizabeth I visited Kenilworth Castle for the spectacular celebrations hosted by Robert Dudley, Earl of Leicester.
In the fictional mystery, the fireworks prepared for the grand finale have disappeared, and players are recruited as investigators to recover them.
Players follow a walking route through Kenilworth, solving 13 puzzles and searching for clues inspired by the town's real history and historic locations.
Amy, who has a degree in Archaeology, created ChronoQuest to combine her love of history with exploring historic towns.
The aim is to give visitors a reason to look more closely at the places they are visiting, while turning a day out into an interactive mystery.
The Kenilworth case is available as a digital experience and as a physical printed guide, which visitors can use to explore the town at their own pace.
ChronoQuest currently has three cases available, with adventures also set in Market Bosworth and Stratford-upon-Avon, and further historic locations planned for the future.
