Two local gardens are set to open this weekend to let locals enjoy the snowdrops.

The gardens at Fieldgate and 2 St Nicholas Avenue in Kenilworth are open on Sunday 15 February from 12noon to 4pm.

Locals will be able to enjoy their displays of snowdrops, cyclamen, crocus, hellebores and other early spring flowers.

Entry is £3 for each garden or £5 if you visit both. Children can visit for free.

Proceeds are going to the National Garden Scheme which raises funds for nursing and health Charities - Carer's Trust, Hospice UK, MacMillian, Marie Curie, Parkinson's and Queen's Nursing Institute.

You can also see a "wonderful display" of snowdrops in the churchyard at St Nicholas Church where tea and home made cakes are being served.
