GALLERY: Kenilworth Remembrance Sunday service 2024

By James Smith 10th Nov 2024

Locals were out in their hundreds to mark Remembrance Sunday in Kenilworth today (November 10).

Many were out lining the streets to watch the parade make its way from the Copper House Club on Albion Street to the War Memorial in Abbey Fields where the main service was held.

A huge number of Scouts and Guides gathered at Talisman Square and joined the rear of the parade as it passed Southbank Road.

Wreathes were laid at the memorial during the services from a wide range of local organisations and community groups, including the Royal British Legion, Kenilworth Town Council and Kenilworth Rotary Club.

After the service the parade formed again on Forrest Road and took the salute from the Mayor of Kenilworth before returning to the Copper House Club.

A two-minutes silence will also be held at the memorial on Monday 11 November, Armistice Day.

The Dedication of the Garden of Remembrance took place at 11am on Saturday 2 November.
