Tree of Light to return to Kenilworth this Christmas
The Tree of Light will return to Kenilworth this Christmas to raise money for two local charities.
Organised by The Rotary Club of Kenilworth, the tree will come back to Talisman Square after a few years absence.
The club will be raising money for the KidsOut Toybox service and The Myton Hospice and the tree will be in place from November 26 until December 24.
Written messages remembering loved ones over the festive period will be placed on the tree in exchange for donations to the two charities.
The tree will be manned in the early evening every weekday and on Saturdays rotary members will be there from 10.30am until 5.30pm.
After an absence during the pandemic, Kenilworth Rotary Club hopes this will become an annual event.
A club spokesperson said: "The tree offers a way to express some feelings for people we won't see this Christmas and perhaps don't even know where they are.
"In exchange for a donation to our charities, rotary will write the message on a card and secure it to the Tree. We'll also be setting up a book to remember donors and sponsors."
