Residents have been warned after two vehicles have been stolen this week from Kenilworth without their keys.
A black Ranger Rover Sport was stolen from a private drive at Best Avenue between 12pm and 12.15pm on Wednesday, September 1.
The stolen vehicle made off along Dalehouse Lane in the direction of Albion Street.
A Ford Transit van was then stolen between 10.30pm on September 1 and 8am on Thursday September 2.
The van was taken from a private drive at Windy Arbour.
Both are believed to have been taken in 'keyless entry' type thefts.
A Kenilworth Watch spokesperson has said that these two incidents are a reminder of the threat of keyless car thefts.
"These latest two incidents remind us that with more and more vehicles having keyless entry systems, criminals are using technology to intercept the signal from keys inside a home and use the signal to fool the vehicle into unlocking itself and enabling criminals to start up and steal the vehicle."
Residents have been advised to store car keys in a pouch that prevents the key's signals being intercepted as well as using a steer wheel lock.
If you think you may have seen or heard anything suspicious or have any information about either of these incidents then please contact Warwickshire Police on 101 or alternatively you can contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 1111
