Here are the all the upcoming HS2 works planned near Kenilworth
The latest update on HS2 works near Kenilworth has been released following a meeting between Kenilworth Town Council (KTC) and contractors Balfour Beatty VINCI (BBV)
Over the past month HS2 has announced plans to build a 'green tunnel' at Burton Green.
Whilst in Balsall Common, plans for up to 400 lorries to pass through the village centre every day have been revealed - much to the frustration of residents.
And over the coming weeks there will be a number of road closures around Kenilworth to allow for HS2 works.
Upcoming work:
- 14 March Crackley Lane (south) - full (off peak) road closure to investigate road and verges for services below the surface.
- 14 – 26 March Dalehouse Lane – full road closure including diversion of buses. To put concrete slabs in place for heavy plant crossing.
- Kenilworth cutting excavation south of the A429. Haulage of materials via the plant crossing on the A429 - started two weeks ago.
- Installation of additional temporary drainage pond at Crackley.
- Late March - Public right of way W164 to be diverted to new permanent alignment.
- Construct road head to allow stockpiling of aggregate material at Crackley.
The town council report also said that BBV will be looking for a place to display information about its upcoming works, and at the possibility of holding meetings with members of the public.
