Eleven Kenilworth businesses nominated in awards recognising local independents

Eleven businesses in Kenilworth have been nominated for regional awards which recognise the work of local independents.

The businesses have been named across 11 different categories in the 'Muddy Awards 2021' which opened for voting yesterday.

Organised for the eighth time by online guide Muddy Stilettos Warwickshire, the awards recognise five different businesses in each of 27 different categories.

Categories cover best beauty salon to best children's business and all the finalists have been nominated by the public.

The Kenilworth finalists are:

- Best Art Gallery: Farthing Art Gallery.

- Best Beauty Salon: The Beauty Cabin.

- Best Book Shop: Kenilworth Books.

- Best Bridal Store: Lily Rose Bridal.

- Best Café: Forrest Coffee House.

- Best Yoga/Pilates Studio: Living Your Yoga.

- Best Children's Business: Mamas Mindfulness.

- Best Day Spa: Little Himalaya Salt Rooms.

- Best Hair Salon: Kelly Cooper Hairdressing.

- Best Restaurant: The Cross.

- Best Theatre/Arts Venue: Talisman Theatre.

Other local businesses; Warwick Arts Centre, in Coventry; Farmers Fayre, in Stoneleigh; and Mudcakes Stay and Play, in Fen End have also been shortlisted.

Voting will remain open until July 22, with the winners announced on Thursday, July 29 and invited to a private awards party.

Each winner will also receive a window rosette, a certificate, a rosette for its website, and all the publicity that comes with it.

Voters also have the chance to win a luxury Disney cruise for four just by taking part.
