Reception SEN Teaching Assistant

• Weekly Rate: 460 - 500

• Hours: Full Time - 8:30am to 3:15pm (Term Time Only)
• Contract: Long Term with potential for Permanent

We are seeking a dedicated Reception SEN Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and inclusive primary school in Kenilworth. This long-term role is to work 1:1 with a child in Reception with identified special educational needs, following their Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP). The successful candidate will provide consistent support in communication, emotional regulation, and learning, ensuring that the child can access the Early Years curriculum and develop independence.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Previous experience working in Early Years (Reception or Nursery) with pupils with SEN needs such as ASD, ADHD, Speech and Language Delay, or SEMH
• Proven experience working 1:1 and supporting differentiated learning in line with EHCP targets
• A Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification or relevant degree
• Knowledge of strategies such as visual timetables, Zones of Regulation, and Makaton (desirable)
• Strong behaviour management skills with a nurturing, patient approach
• Ability to work collaboratively with class teachers, SENCO, and outside agencies
• A sound understanding of early intervention and child development within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
