Leave No Trace
A father and his daughter Tom live a perfect but mysterious existence in Forest Park, a beautiful nature reserve near Portland, Oregon, rarely making contact with the world. But when a small mistake tips them off to authorities, they are sent on an increasingly erratic journey in search of a place to call their own.
This film is inspired by Peter Rock's 2009 novel My Abandonment, which was based on a true story.
Certificate: PG ( actually most suitable for audiences aged 10+ to 100!)
Director: Debra Granic
Starring: Ben Foster and Thomasin McKenzie
Awards: Many, including Best Independent Film 2008 – International Press Academy

Some Representative Reviews:
"Flawless and deeply affecting." The Guardian
"Occasionally uplifting and sometimes heartbreaking, it is nothing less than sublime." James Berardinelli, ReelViews
"Debra Granik directs with a touch that's as gentle on the audience as bees are to Tom. There is not a move, cut, sound, or deliberate stretch of silence that in some way doesn't advance and inform the plot." Scott Marks, San Diego Reviewer
Talisman Cinema Comment:
This was released in 2018 but there were only limited screenings in the UK, so few people have seen this exceptional film. Now is your chance…and do bring along a teenager or two (if you can wrench them away from social media!)…it will open their eyes to what quality movies can offer. And this film is so much better seen in HD on our 200 inch screen rather than on a streaming service!
